DINO CAZARES Laughs Off FEAR FACTORY Drummer's 'CHRISTIAN Is A Better Guitarist' Comment
January 3, 2006Former FEAR FACTORY guitarist Dino Cazares has contacted BLABBERMOUTH.NET to offer his response to FEAR FACTORY drummer Raymond Herrera's comments regarding Dino's guitar playing and his songwriting contributions to the Los Angeles metal act during his tenure with the band.
Speaking to Blasting-Zone.com, Herrera had the following to say regarding the band's decision to have bassist Christian Olde Wolbers take over Dino's guitar duties following Cazares' departure: "I already knew Christian was way more than capable of doing the job. He's way faster and way tighter. He's a better guitarist than Dino ever was. And I can actually say that because if anyone knows how good Dino is, it's me. I've seen Christian do things that Dino never really expanded on doing. He can play open, he can play really epic. He's just way more multi-faceted than Dino was. That's not anything bad against Dino. Dino was really, really good at what he did. It's just that Christian is able to do that and other things as well."
In an e-mail sent to BLABBERMOUTH.NET earlier today, Cazares offered a simple "Hahahahahaha" in response to Raymond's remarks. When asked to comment on Herrera's assertion that "Dino went around saying that he was the band and he wrote everything," Cazares refused to elaborate, instead offering another "Hahahahaha" as a way of expresing his point of view.
